I always think I am a three items and a card holder kind of person but it seems my handbag disagrees. Six things currently in there, including one I should probably explain.

1. The perfume that justifies the 15ml format
   Le Labo Santal 33 in the travel size. I love many of the Le Labo scents but there is a reason this one has become completely ubiquitous and also why that does not matter at all once you are wearing it. Woody, slightly smoky, impossible to place and impossible to forget. The 15ml lives in my bag permanently and the full bottle lives at home.

2. The Mini Cutter
   The one I should probably explain. A Slice ceramic mini cutter with an auto-retractable blade, the size of a USB stick, lives in the inner pocket of my bag. I started carrying it for site visits and sample deliveries and now I can’t be without it. If you have ever destroyed a nail or worse used your teeth on a parcel.

3. The lip liner
   I am not going to oversell this but if you are anything like me and your face needs a quiet intervention at 3pm, you will not regret it. It is in my bag every day, gets used every day and I replace it before it runs out. That is really all there is to say.

   Miu Miu, because if you are going to need them you may as well.

5. The scrunchies
   Slip pure silk in dark brown. I know, but hear me out. A silk scrunchie that actually lives in your bag means you are never caught out, never resorting to whatever elastic band situation is lurking at the bottom, and your hair does not end up with a crease in it at 3pm. Dark brown works on almost every hair colour. I have two in here at all times.

6. The Hand Balm
   Resurrection Aromatique. The scent, the texture, the fact that it does not leave your hands slippery for twenty minutes afterwards. I have the 75ml in my bag and a larger one at home.
